There will be fun for all the family with award-winning food stalls and plenty of entertainment. Children’s cookery demonstrations will be tailored to engage with younger children.
Not only will the festival be a fun day out to enjoy some good food, it will also be an opportunity to raise awareness to protect the Lincolnshire Sausage. The European Commission are able to protect the geographical indication of the product ensuring that local producers benefit from their traditional recipes and locally reared pork.
The Lincolnshire Sausage Association have campaigned for six years to get the Lincolnshire sausage the protective status as given to Melton Mowbray pork pies and Parma ham. They say that only sausages made in the county using local ingredients could be called Lincolnshire Sausages.
If you are keen to taste the sausages and other local Lincolnshire food, why not take a break in one Lincolnshire’s 5 star luxury self catering cottages.
